Hello, my loves!!
Last month, I closed a chapter of my life that was truly wild: I took my final bow as Roxie Hart. My time in Chicago on Broadway was a frenzy, a dream, and honestly, one of the most challenging (and rewarding) things I've ever done. It was like the most intense summer camp of my life.
For so long, modeling was about being pretty. But you’re not always given the space to say anything—it’s not really about your voice. It becomes about your face, your followers, your aesthetics. The recognition that comes with modeling is often surface-level: the accolades are based on what you look like. You can have a full, long-lasting modeling career without ever having to speak. To perform and to say something can be a challenge.
Broadway gave me a chance to be recognized for talent outside of just being a pretty face and a model. It required flexing different muscles, literally and figuratively—and it was a true labor of love outside of my typical 9-5 modeling gigs.
Now that the curtains are closed and I’ve had some time to reflect, I’m ready to share my behind-the-scenes moments, breakthroughs and breakdowns, and all the lessons I learned under the bright lights of B-way. You know I love to keep it real with y’all. So, let’s get into it.
